2. Joachim (Jacob)2 Reimer (Chris1) was born in Mecklenberg, Germany April 1846.
He married Rieke Schlieff in Illinois, abt 1872. Rieke was born in Mecklenberg, Germany January 1852. Rieke was the daughter of Fred Schlieff. The 1900 Cook County, IL, Hanover Township census states Joachim emigrated in 1866 and had been married 28 years. His occupation is listed as a farmer. His wife Rieke emigrated in 1869, is listed as the mother of 9 children, but only 6 were still living. The 1910 census lists 64 year old Joachim as a "widower" living with his son, Christian, his wife Annie, and their children. Therefore Joachim's wife, Rieke, must have died between 1900 and 1910.

Says he was born 25 Sept 1882 & worked as a "car smith" for the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul RR. He lived at 595 N. Porter & his nearest
relative was Mrs. Amelia Schult at the same address.

Millie Reimer was born in Illinois April 1885. She married Aydelott.

Fred (Fritz) Reimer was born in Illinois October 1887.

Rose C. Reimer was born in Illinois May 28, 1890. Rose died September 20, 1966 in Elgin, IL, at 76
years of age. Her body was interred September 23, 1966 in Elgin, IL, Lake Street Memorial Park. She
married Dormann.
