He married Edna Irene Engebretson in Woodstock, IL, June 16, 1938. Edna was born in Black River Falls, WI September 20, 1918. Edna was the daughter of Ludwig Martin Engebretson and Louise Marie Gilbertson. Edna died September 29, 1982 in Crystal Lake, IL, at 64 years of age. Her body was interred October 1, 1982 in Crystal Lake, IL, Crystal Lake Union Cemetery.
