3. Orton Payne³ Haight (James S.², Squire¹) was born in Greene, NY February 25, 1861. Orton died August 18, 1931 in Elgin, IL, at 70 years of age.

He married Edna Belle Miller 1879. Edna was born in Waukesha, WI July 10, 1866. Edna was the daughter of William Miller and Olive Weist.

Orton Payne Haight and Edna Belle Miller had the following children:

7 i. Edna Faye⁴ Haight.

8 ii. May Haight.

9 iii. Pearl Olive Haight was born in Tripp, SD August 22, 1883. Pearl died May 9, 1961 in Woodstock, IL, at 77 years of age.

10 iv. Mattie Belle Haight was born in Chicago, Cook, IL November 30, 1890. Mattie died October 10, 1961 at 70 years of age. She married Fred Frederick Wilhelm Speckmann. Fred was born in Berlin, Germany January 13, 1889. Fred was the son of Wilhelm Carl Frederick Speckmann and Marie Hulda Meyer. Fred died November 1956 at 67 years of age. 11 v. Claude Miller Haight was born in Tindal, SD May 3, 1896. Claude died December 21, 1970 in Roy, Utah, at 74 years of age.
