He married Jo Ann Vanderford in Winterhaven, CA, December 26, 1969. Jo was born in Elgin, IL December 13, 1947. Jo is the daughter of Austin John Vanderford and Dorothy Belle (Dot) Speckmann.

Ronald Jerry (Rusty) McCulla and Jo Ann Vanderford had the following children:
