1. Emil Jacob Louis¹ Marslek was born October 15, 1913. Emil died February 25, 1993 in Hinsdale, IL, at 79 years of age.

He married Gladys Christine Drzewiecki in Cicero, IL, August 22, 1936. Gladys was born January 3, 1917. Gladys died March 26, 2000 in Elmhurst, IL, at 83 years of age.

Emil Jacob Louis Marslek and Gladys Christine Drzewiecki had the following children:

2 i. Janina Paula² Marslek was born in Chicago, Cook, IL September 18, 1954. She married Gene Michael Vanderford in Elgin, IL, September 11, 1976. Gene was born in Elgin, IL February 27, 1953. Gene is the son of Charles Homer Vanderford and Sybil Mae McBurney. Gene was divorced from Janina Paula Marslek in Hoffman Estates, IL, October 30, 2001. (See Gene Michael Vanderford for the continuation of this line.)

Janina was divorced from Gene Michael Vanderford in Hoffman Estates, IL, October 30, 2001. Janina (Nina) Marslek was adopted by Emil and Gladys Marslek soon after birth at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, IL. Her biological parents were Walter B. and Katherine Kulik. Nina is the oldest of three adopted children. She lived with her sister Susanne, and her brother, Jacob with their parents in Medinah, IL and moved later to Glen Ellyn, IL. Nina grew up enjoying sports and music, participating on the swimming and gymnastics teams and playing the piano and guitar. After graduating from Glenbard West High School, she studied piano and psychology at Rosemary College, the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, and Northern Illinois University.

3 ii. Susanne Marie Marslek was born in Chicago, Cook, IL July 28, 1961. She married Brian Hayes.

4 iii. Jacob Walter Marslek was born in Chicago, Cook, IL April 3, 1962. Jacob died June 20, 2002 in Schaumburg, IL, at 40 years of age. His body was interred June 24, 2002 in Hinsdale, IL.
