53. Russell Barry¹² Vanderford (Austin John¹¹, William Austin¹⁰, John Austin⁹, Austin Comer⁸, William⁷, John⁶, Richard⁵, Charles⁴, George Paul³, Michael Paul², Paul¹) was born in Elgin, IL August 9, 1945. Russell died July 21, 2009 in Redgranite, WI, at 63 years of age.

He married twice. He married Marcella Lipinski Phillips in Elgin, IL. Marcella was divorced from Russell Barry Vanderford in Elgin, IL, 1972. He married Carol Judith North Breedlove in Waukesha, WI, April 7, 1973. Carol was born in Muncie, DE August 21, 1944. Carol Breedlove had the following children:

Richard Lee Breedlove was born in Muncie, IN January 11, 1964. Lisa Lynn Breedlove was born in Muncie, IN April 19, 1965. Janet Elaine Breedlove was born in Muncie, IN February 28, 1967.

Carol's husband, Russ Vanderford, adopted these children following their marriage.

Russell was divorced from Marcella Lipinski Phillips in Elgin, IL, 1972. Russell adopted Marcella's son, Michael.

Russell's obituary was published in the Oshkosh Northwester of Oshkosh, WI:

Russell B. Vanderford passed peacefully into His presence after battling several illnesses, on July 21, 2009, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was formerly from Elgin, Illinois and was born on August 9, 1945. He was the son of Austin and Dorothy (Speckmann) Vanderford.

He married Carol North Breedlove on April 7, 1973. He became a wonderful father to three children, Rick Breedlove, Lisa Howard, and Janet Fisher, all of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Russell is survived by his loving wife, Carol and his mother Dorothy. Russell also has two sisters and a brother. Connie (Edward) Poole of Murphy, North Carolina, JoAnn (Ron) McCulla of Tempe, Arizona, and Kenneth (Martha) of Wiggins, Mississippi.

He was a wonderful grandfather to Robert (Erin) Fisher, David Fisher, Cameron Breedlove, Stefany Jo Howard, Jenifer Lee Howard, Duncan Breedlove, Nathan Howard and Michael (Fisher) Wheatley.

Russell was preceded in death by his father Austin, an infant brother Dale, and his mother and father in law Hershel and Mary (Billie) North.

The family has arranged for a celebration of Russ's life to be held at the Redgranite Civic Center at 202 Pine River Street in Redgranite on Saturday July 25th, 2009. The family will greet guests between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. A short service will be given at 11 a.m. by Pastor Don Buege. Lunch will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
