6. Gordon R.2 Wascher (Clarence1) was born in Elgin, IL January 30, 1932. Gordon died December 6, 2005 in Cape Coral, FL, at 73 years of age.

He married Bonnie Kay Vanderford in Elgin, IL, November 6, 1976. Bonnie was born in Elgin, IL March 2, 1943. Bonnie is the daughter of Wilbur Lavern Vanderford and Eleanor Eileen Spencer. Bonnie was divorced from David Mould in Elgin, IL, August 1971.

Gordon R. Wascher had the following children:

child 14 i. Sue Ann3 Wascher was born in Elgin, IL August 22, 1951. Sue died July 13, 2008 in Atlanta, GA, at 56 years of age. She married twice. She married John Sarto September 6, 1969. John was divorced from Sue Ann Wascher 1982. (See John Sarto for the continuation of this line.) She married Terry Volk in Geneva, IL, December 23, 1983. Terry was born November 11, 1942. Terry died July 13, 2008 in Atlanta, GA, at 65 years of age.

Sue was divorced from John Sarto 1982. Below is Sue's obituary:

Sue Ann Sarto Volk (nee Wascher), 56, of Coloma, WI, formerly of Elgin, passed away July 13, 2008 along with her husband, Terry L. Volk, after a motorcycle accident outside of Atlanta, GA. She was born on August 22, 1951 in Elgin, IL and was the daughter of Leonard Schmoldt and Marilyn (Koch) Kruschel.

As a young child, she was adopted by her step-father, Gordon Wascher. Sue had worked for Williams Manufacturing for many years. She loved to travel, garden, craft, and cook. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be dearly missed. Family and friends were very important to her.

She married Terry on December 23, 1983 in Geneva, IL. The couple lived in Mitchell, SD for several years, and came back to live in Elgin, IL. Later, they made Coloma, WI their home after retirement.

Survivors include her children, Matthew (Jill) Sarto of Algonquin, IL, and Kevin Sarto of Coloma, WI, and Karen Olson of Algonquin, IL; her five grandchildren, Jaci Olson, Cheyenne Sarto, Nicholas Sarto, Gabrielle Sarto, and Riley Sarto; her mother, Marilyn Kruschel of Belvedere, IL; her step-children, Julie Naylor of St. Charles, IL, Lisa Sloan of South Elgin, IL, and Brian Volk of South Elgin, IL; her step-grandchildren, Jennifer Naylor, Jeremiah Sloan, and Joshua Naylor; her sisters, Jane (Jim) Kawa of Elgin, IL, Jean (Mike) Pickles of Hampshire, IL, Mary Ann (Frank) Leone of Sanibel Island, FL, Lori (John) Irwin of Herrin, IL; her brothers, Bill (Lori) Wascher of Hampshire, IL, John (Laurie) Wascher of Olympia, WA, Paul Kruschel of Sebring, FL, and Pat Kruschel of Elgin, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her adopted father; also her grandparents, Marie and Frederick Koch; and her son, Christopher Sarto; and two granddaughters, Crystal and Kelly Middleton-Sarto.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Laurence Catholic Church, Elgin with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8:00 P.M. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, and on Monday, at the church from 9:15 A.M. until the time of Mass.
